Hi everyone!
I was away in vacation for a few days… I went to Sint-Maarten in the Caribbean! I fell in love with this Island last year on a cruise in the Caribbean
I am so happy that I was able to fulfill my dream of staying on this Island for a vacation. God made it possible!!
I stayed at the Sonesta Maho Hotel. I had an all-inclusive deal
This was the view from my balcony. I was staying on the 7th floor!
The hotel is beach front and we got to walk by the beach everyday (the simple things that can make me happy….)
Now let’s talk about several of my OOTDs which were DIY projects completed in the last weeks! I’ll go more in detail in future blog posts for those items that I made using a pattern.
Look #1
I made this skirt using a shear fabric and lined it with a white polyester lining. It has an elastic at the waist and one seam at the back.
Look #2
A maxi dress made with a knit fabric. I use 2 elastic bands, 1 at the top and one at the waist. You can use MiMi G’s tutorial to create this dress.

A maxi dress that was self-drafted using my favorite tank-top. It was made in a knit fabric.

A voile fabric was used to make this top. Pattern used was Butterick B5355, view C

I used a satin fabric to create this romper using McCalls M6083 pattern.

A jumpsuit using the M6083 pattern.
I’ll come back soon to make a detailed review for the M6083 ans B5355 patterns! I had a lot of fun working on all these projects. As I was completing them, I knew I was getting closer and closer to my vacation!
I had a great time and the weather was perfect (it rained only once and it was for a few hours…)
I cannot wait to go back to this Island (I will, God willing in a few years!!)
